On Tuesday at about 8:50 am, the Waterloo Police Department responded to the area of 55 Washington Street, in the Village of Waterloo, for a report of shots being fired from a rifle. Due to the shots being heard and witnesses seeing the rifle being shot, employees of Generations Bank were forced to lock their doors for safety.Following an investigation into the incident, Dillan T. Years, age 18 of 55 Washington Street in Waterloo, and Quintin K. Slater, age 21 of 444 Pucker Road in the Town of Tyre, were arrested for discharging a firearm in the Village.According to witnesses, the firearm was being fired in the direction a public street where there was light vehicle traffic.Police did locate a high powered pellet gun with a scope during the investigation and seized the weapon as evidence.Both Years and Slater are to appear in the Village of Waterloo Court at at later date to answer to the charge.
